HOLD HER

She rested her head on the empty table in the library.

She had an exam  the next day.

She hadn’t studied a word today and it was already eight in the evening.

Her head hurt. Maybe she had been too energetic the past two days. Now she just lay her head down sideways, eyes open, staring into nothing.

She smiled. She felt miserable for not studying but she smiled anyway.

It would be okay, she told herself. The words echoed with an emptiness in her head.

But she held on to it. She needed to be in harmony with herself first instead of frantically running around doing last minute cramming.

No, that didn’t feel right.

This felt right. This peace felt right.

She would remember. Her exam would go alright. She wouldn’t fall. The Universe would hold her.

Faith at this moment felt like an act of courage.

She closed her eyes and let that feeling wash over her.
