WHAT WILL DAWN BRING

 As I stay up through the night

Taking all my sorrows in plight

I wonder into all the silence

What will tomorrow bring

Will it bring flowers

Or will it bring weeds

Shall I see mountains

or shall I see seas

Will I enter beginnings

Or will I transverse endings

The work that goes in day and night

Building up something, stout and bright

Will I see castles

Or will I see winds

As I stay up through the night

Dawn then rings slow and bright

I dare not open my eyes

For faith to last as strong faith may be

At long last I open them anyway

For I cant stand them deluding me

And goodness

I’m astounded by what I see
