YOU ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN THEM

She lies in bed, almost falling asleep, when her mind wanders to a guy she had a crush on a long time ago. 

She sees how happy he is with his girlfriend and she is happy for them, really.

But hey, she’s only human. And she doesn’t like the wave of insecurity that comes over her as she thinks about his girlfriend. 

She opens her eyes in the darkness. 

“I am better than them”, she whispers to herself. 

“I am more talented than them. I am more capable than them.”

“I am more powerful than them”, she finishes. 

She closes her eyes and lets them go. And falls asleep with a smile.
