JASON NEVER STOPPED WANTING MILEY (A TRUE STORY)

Jason texted Miley after FOREVER.

He had left her a year ago because he thought she was too superficial and was only after his looks.

In fact, he gradually stopped paying attention to her. Didn't even really reject her, just outright dismissed her.

He called her up a while ago and told her they needed to meet up. She outright refused. Then he sent her a really long text messsage.

"I'm sorry.

I don't know where to start from; I'm really, really sorry.

I'm just used to dozens of girls trying to get my attention all the time. And I keep every single one of them at a distance because I don't want to hurt them. That's it. I'm not being pompous or arrogant. I'm a nice guy, Miles"

"Don't call me Miles"

"Okay, sorry. But Miley, you have to trust me on this. I've been thinking about our initial days together. All the fun we had before I thought you didn't really love me, because you kept talking about random guys.

I've been observing you at university, and damn, you're such an impressive person. You work so hard, you don't mess around with guys, you don't hang around with gossip girls; you don't let anything or anyone get to you in any way at all. I don't know how you do it. But I love it."

"Jason, I can't say anything right now. This sounds a little far-fetched."

"Miley, listen to me. I like you. And I know you like me too. You still do, I know."

"You wish"

"You make me laugh, Miles"

"I make most guys laugh. I'll get back to you when I want."

Jason looked at the text and laughed again. Miley, HIS Miley, being her classic, usual sassy self. He wanted her back so much, he felt the ache in his heart. He'd been hanging out with the wrong crowd and fooling around for a whole year. Miley brought out the best version in him. Everything felt right when she was near. Everything made sense.

He looked up at the night sky. And closed his eyes with a smile and a prayer.

Based on a true story.
