SHARON SPEAKS UP (A TRUE STORY)
Sharon was talking to a guy she thought she liked.
She was in Portugal, he was in Canada.
He was kind and appropriately interested in their conversation. They'd just met on an interior designing interest group online and started a conversation and clicked. Sharon was careful not to come off as too eager and maintained appropriate sass.
And then Sharon told him she had to go have lunch. Asked him what he will doing. She informed him she wouldn't be taking her phone with her.
He didn't reply.
Sharon waited for a reply for 5 minutes and then left.
When she came back half an hour later, there was only one message from him. A smiley emoji.
Sharon blinked. It clearly wasn't the most appropriate way to say goodbye after the conversation they'd had.
She contemplated not texting him again and opened her laptop and started working.
10 minutes later, she opened her phone again. If it was bothering her, she'd get it out and not think about him again. He would know that she was a girl who never remained silent.
"You close off conversations so abruptly lol. Anyway, I'll do it the courteous way. Have a lovely day, mate."
Based on a true story.
Until next,
Insane Little Brunette.
