ZARA'S FRUSTRATION (A TRUE STORY)

Zara looked at her colleagues having fun, laughing and posting pictures on social media and felt slightly abandoned and shaken.

Why? Why didn't these people accept her into their group? She was funny, smart, kind, and had an amazing sense of humor. And a sharp tongue. She was the ideal friend even she would want for herself. Then why did these people who also seemed smart and funny did not want to be with her?

Zara looked at the clock on the wall. She was wasting so much time. Inspite of wanting to get work done, she was unable to do anything.

Breathe, Zara, breathe; she told herself. The right friendships would come, the right people would come. Friendships could not be forced. She was much better off working on developing new skills rather than wasting time pining over people who clearly did not belong in her life.

Skill. The word reverberated within her with increasing urgency. In today's extremely fast-paced world, she knew how unfathomably important skills were and how only a couple extra skills had the potential to carry her very far into life.

Zara reached for a bottle and drank some water. Turned off social media. And got down to work.

Based on a true story.

Until next,

Insane Little Brunette.
