THE RICH OLD LADY IN THE BUS
Y'ALL, I SWEAR SHE LOOKED LIKE SHE OWNED NOT JUST THE DAMN BUS, BUT ALL THE BUSES IN THE CITY.
I told you how I felt beautiful and independent because of my tiny adventure with The Store.
BUT I DIDN'T tell you about the old lady I met on the bus WHILE GOING TO THE STORE.
I'll tell you how I noticed her.
I was on the bus and I looked at the people around me BECAUSE I'VE SEEN THE DAMN VIEW OUTSIDE A HUNDRED TIMES.
A middle-aged man who looked like he'd been uselessly labouring all his life and was genuinely stressed out (THAT IS EXACTLY THE KIND OF PERSON I DO NOT HOPE TO BE!!!!)
A girl who looked like she was at university. Head bent over her phone, giggling away loudly. (It was actually funny)
Other peeps.
AND THEN HER.
It kinda struck me how I didn't notice her before.
You know, richness doesn't ONLY come from material things (although she had A TON of that on her). It also comes from your body language. And your vibe.
I'm telling you again. SHE SAT LIKE SHE OWNED THE DAMN BUS. Shades, and necklaces, and designer bags, rings. And she kept her shopping bags on the seat next to her even though there were people standing in the bus.
WOMAN, WHY ARE YOU HERE IF YOU SEEM SO RICH?!?!
People, lol.
~Insane Little Brunette, telling you that she was one of the people standing in the bus.
